I'm struggling with something and decided that those in blogland could probably help me...hence the start of my new blog, Blogomama.
I am this - wife to N, Stepmom to L (6) and mom to J (2). Our relationship with L's mom is great - no issues at all. However, they live in a different town from us - about 45 minutes away. L started Kindergarden this year and so far, so good.
I am getting nervous for him though in terms of friendships. He goes to school M-F there and then spends weekends with us. We have lots of friends here, but I'm not sure what his interactions are up there and whether or not he's missing out on making solid friendships because he spends all weekend with us.
I love L like he's my own and I hurt for him on this stuff. It makes me sad to think he might miss out on developing deep friendships because of his travels back and forth.
Anyone else experience this?
